◧ Arguments

ArgumentTypeRequiredDescription
x Number Required The value at which you want to evaluate the distribution.
deg_freedom Number Required The number of degrees of freedom.
cumulative Logical Required A logical value that determines the form of the function. If cumulative is TRUE, CHISQ.DIST returns the cumulative distribution function; if FALSE, it returns the probability density function.

▣ Examples

The chi-squared distribution for 0.5, returned as the cumulative distribution function, using 1 degree of freedom. =CHISQ.DIST(0.5,1,TRUE)
Result: 0.52049988
The chi-squared distribution for 2, returned as the probability density function, using 3 degrees of freedom. =CHISQ.DIST(2,3,FALSE)
Result: 0.20755375

§ Remarks

  • If any argument is nonnumeric, CHISQ.DIST returns the #VALUE! error value.
  • If x is negative, CHISQ.DIST returns the #NUM! error value.
  • If deg_freedom is not an integer, it is truncated.
  • If deg_freedom < 1 or deg_freedom > 10^10, CHISQ.DIST returns the #NUM! error value.

✦ Tips

  • If deg_freedom is not an integer, it is truncated.

⚠ Common Errors

#VALUE! If any argument is nonnumeric, CHISQ.DIST returns the #VALUE! error value.
Fix: هر سه آرگومان را به‌صورت عددی/منطقی وارد کنید.
#NUM! If x is negative, CHISQ.DIST returns the #NUM! error value. If deg_freedom < 1 or deg_freedom > 10^10, CHISQ.DIST returns the #NUM! error value.
Fix: Correct the input value
